Services

The staff at Audiology & Communication Services provides services for patients with hearing difficulties. Without the right equipment, some of the most common hearing issues are hard to identify. With professional techniques and equipment, an audiologist is the best choice for evaluations or treatments. To ensure the most accurate results, services are unique for each individual patient.

Hearing Tests

Hearing Testing and Evaluations

Choosing the right hearing aid starts with a clear understanding of your unique hearing loss needs. Our advanced testing procedures accurately identify whether or not you have hearing loss and measure the type and severity.

To find out the seriousness of hearing loss, a diagnostic audiologic evaluation is required and tests for loss in one or both ears. Common tests to fulfill the requirements are pure-tone testing, bone conduction, speech testing and tympanometry. A patient’s past health history and age will help determine which tests are the most sufficient for accurate results.

At the dispensing and fitting appointment, patients get to wear their devices for the first time. Our audiologists will run tests and ask questions about the fit. If anything feels uncomfortable, patients should always feel free to speak their mind.
